One person is dead and another has been taken to hospital after a diving mishap off the shores of Bronte Harbour in Oakville. Police responded to the mayday call on Wednesday afternoon.

Police are investigating a tragedy on University Avenue in Waterloo. A cyclist was killed when his bicycle was struck by a passenger car and thrown about five meters from the edge of roadway.
