Aviation history soars over Hamilton Updated Fri. Feb. 06 2009 8:09 PM ET Bjarni Tryggvason got a modern-day Silver Dart aircraft a few metres off the ground for at least two brief flights at Hamilton International Airport.
In 1909, the original Silver Dart made history in Cape Breton.
It was Canada's first successful controlled, heavier-than-air, powered flight.
Friday's test flight was in preparation for a special anniversary later this month.
