Support for striking DriveTest workers Updated Tue. Nov. 03 2009 9:06 PM ET Driving instructors and trucking schools are showing their support for striking DriveTest workers in Ontario.
As is retired trucker George Phillips, who has joined them on the picket line.
Phillips leg was amputated earlier this year. He paid nearly $10,000 to modify his van and get driving lessons. Phillips passed his written and visual tests before the strike but had yet to take his driving test. Now, the ministry wants his learners license back.
DriveTest workers have been on strike for eleven weeks over job security.
